Canada Issues New Express Entry Invitations for Healthcare and Social Services Professionals

Ottawa, June 4, 2025 — In its latest Express Entry draw, Canada’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates working in the healthcare and social services sectors, reinforcing the country’s focus on filling critical labor shortages in essential services.

To qualify, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 504, and must have submitted their profiles before 6:47 a.m. UTC on March 31, 2025.

This draw marks the second category-based selection for these occupations in 2025 — a clear indicator of the government’s continued commitment to strengthening Canada’s healthcare infrastructure and social support systems.

So far in 2025, Canada has invited 35,217 candidates through various Express Entry draws, including:

  • 9 draws under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
  • 4 draws for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates
  • 3 focused on French-language proficiency
  • 2 targeting healthcare and social services
  • 1 draw aimed at education-related occupations

This move highlights a more strategic, targeted approach to immigration — bringing in professionals where Canada needs them most.

Stay tuned for further updates as the Express Entry system continues to evolve in 2025.
